Skip Schutz, PhD

Director of Statistical Methods, Brandware Research

Skip Schutz is Director of Statistical Methods for Brandware Research. Skip has a dual role in our organization – he makes certain that every Brandware employee is fully qualified in statistical processes and also ensures that the quantitative work we perform for clients meets the most rigorous standards.

Skip's industrial engineering background brings a unique perspective to Brandware's research efforts. Before joining Brandware, Skip spent 20 years at AT&T Bell Laboratories/ Lucent, where he managed human factors evaluations and statistical analyses of new products in the organization’s transmission and fiber-optic divisions.

With a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Operations Research) from Johns Hopkins and a Master of Arts (Statistics) and PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, Skip is also on the faculty of the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, where he teaches advanced statistics in the school’s PhD program.

A Baltimore native, Skip and his wife, Mary Jo, now make their home the Atlanta area.
